Default Ultimate Pedals Group Buy

Ultimate pedals makes some very nice, custom pedals for our cars. They have a lot of optional styles and excellent quality and customer service.

You can see some of their work in this thread:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...s-order-88734/

and on their web site at ULTIMATE PEDALS

I emailed Robert at Ultimate Pedals and asked about a discount for forum members. His reply was:

"We would be happy to offer a 15% discount for a group buy of 10 or more pedal sets if you think there is enough interest."

Each group buy order would need to include a gas, brake or brake/clutch, and footrest (engraving and/or emblem pocketing not subject to discount).

So, anyone interested?

If you are, post your screen name and model to this thread and we'll see if we can get a 10 set order together.

I would be interested in a footrest only for my 01 XJR. Would that qualify to be part of the group order?

They run $79 to $179 depending on what finish and options you want.

See here for info: ULTIMATE PEDALS
here are basic pedals: ULTIMATE PEDALS
and here are deluxe, includes footrest/dead pedal: ULTIMATE PEDALS

They don't have a page for XJ8/R's but they assured me they would make pedals for our cars.

If you have any questions you can email Robert at sales@ultimatepedals.com

I'll change this post as folks come on board for orders:

So far we have four, need at least 6 more:

Vector - full set, 01 XJR
Tirefriar - full set in black finish or footrest only in satin, 01 XJR
XJR Prototype - full set, 00 XJR
Elindo - full set, 2007 XK coupe

Vector, I'd go for the full set if they would come in black finish. Otherwise, I'd like to get the footrest in satin finish without grip inserts and with partial flange with the R engraving.Thank you.

They will machine a custom "pocket" for any item you want to inlay into the pedals.

I think I'm going to have them inlay the attached R emblem into the foot rest.

That would look cool!

I like it. What about painting them black? Bright metal work may detract from the flow of the XJR interior. That's my personal opinion.

Email Robert at sales@ultimatepedals.com and you can ask him about black coatings. Post his response here.

Here's the response:

Hi George,

Thank you for your e-mail, we appreciate your interest in our products.

No problem to make a set of pedals for your 2001 Jaguar XJS (we already have the templates).

I'm sorry, but we do not offer color options.

Powder coating is a much better choice than anodizing.

Anodizing is good for corrosion protection, but it is very thin (~0.0006" or 1/4 the thickness of a human hair) and therefore not a good wear surface.

Many customer have powder coated their pedals after they receive them (any frosted finish is the best choice for powder coating).

You should be able to locate a powder coating company in your local Yellow Pages under "Powder Coating".

Please let us know if you require any additional information.

No questions asked money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the fit or finish.

Don't settle for "One Size Fits All" pedals.

Have a great day!

I am thinking to powder coat it in black, perhaps semi-gloss.

Is this still alive? If so, I'm in. Full set, Stuart S-style, 2010 XKR. Will Robert do the inserts if we ask or is that up to us?
