Anyone recommend a good online parts place? I need to order a fuel sending unit.

I just purchased a 2002 x-type and the seller told me the gas gauge goes from full to like a quarter then back sometimes, so I assume it is the sending unit. Does anyone know if there is any step by step instructions for changing it? I imagine it is like any other sending unit and goes through the top of the gas tank.

try jagparts.com

But be forewarned I think removing the gas tank to get at the sender unit is a major PITA.

Maybe that's why the previous owner just used his trip meter to track miles. I was hoping maybe I can gain access through the trunk, but I don't want to mess with taking the gas tank out. Thanks sidewalkman.
