Default Adding Quotes to posts

I have been adding quotes by clicking on the wrap quote tags button then pasting the text I want between them. But it doesn't show the line
"originally posted by ,member name" doesn't show up.

You want to click on the black "Quote" button at the bottom right of the post you want to quote before you start your reply.

This one!

If you want to quote more than one person click multi quote first then the regular quote and it should end up like this:

And of course you can hit the multi quote button more than once!!

If you want to quote from another thread, just hit the quote button then cut and paste to the thread where you want it.

I use that 'quote' button and still get all the bits.

So you're not using the multiquote button?

If I hit the regular quote button it goes straight to a reply box with no chance for a second one.

Hi Neil, it took a while but a bit of trial and error after Norri's instructions got it over the line.
I just tried it out on an old thread and kept hitting the preview post button until I got it right, but never actually hit the submit reply button. You can practise that way without posting anything.
Even for a computer illiterate like me I got there eventually.

I've always used the 'quote button' but often back space out anything not relevant.
