Default adware attack

This site is full of adware links. Already cost me $15 and a half hour of down time removing the adware from a link in a forum message. I'm out of here. Been nice but I don't need the headache.

Try Adblock Plus, it works for me.

With Windows 10 as OS, I use Firefox as my preferred browser and AdBlock Plus. The ONLY ads I see are from forum sponsors. I also clear my cache monthly.

In contrast, using Microsoft Edge on the same PC with no blocking, the forum pages are riddled with ads and pop-ups in addition to the drivel Microsoft delusionally believes is essential to the browsing experience.

My smartphone, apart from being (for me) an inconvenient way of viewing a predominantly text based forum is also littered with ads.

Think he got caught out by something he clicked on and wants to make that someone elses fault. Meanwhile the other umpteen thousand users carry on. I wish him luck out there finding the perfectly clean Internet site.

Maybe he'll start up his own.
I only have Gazillions of ads when I look in here without logging in properly; and AdWare whatever doesn't even work on this browser!

just turn off javascript completely.

most ads depend on javascript for delivery
and most attack vectors are javascript based.

Firefox + Ghostery add on works great.

My Android smart does not like this site. Throws up an odd message or two,
so I've stopped using the site via my smart phone.
