Except for this forum, I cannot post a new thread anywhere.. no icon.. I just registered today.. Is there a waiting period before I can post threads??

Yes, Norris, I've read the new members info page and posted my particulars in the new members area..
There is an icon for 'new posts' and I am allowed to reply,but still no icon to start a new thread..a head-scratcher for certain.

Sid, cease scratching.

It is not possible to post a New Thread from within an existing thread anywhere on the forum.

You need to be on the Titles/Contents page for a given sub-forum, then you will have the New Thread option towards the top left of the screen.

You can post a REPLY in an existing THREAD by clicking on the New Reply button in the thread (circled in red):



You can start a new THREAD in any forum SECTION by clicking on the New Thread button (circled in blue):
