The right tab has broken on the luggage seperator therefore my convertible top will not operate. I had read that a metal nut could be taped somewhere which would activate the sensor allowing the top to operate. Does anyone have better information on this subject? And pictures would be great! Thanks.

Thank you for the advice, but I had done all of this 1 month ago. I have already created my profile and picture of my car. I keep getting asked to activate my account…I’m at a loss.

 

Quick update. My convertible top to my 2007 XK would not open because my luggage seperator was broken. So I found a steel lug approximately 1/4” X 1/8” that fit perfectly in the slot of the left anchoring plate. I taped that into place with a piece of black Gorilla tape. Convertible top works like a dream.

 

So if I’m never going to be asked for my credit card, why do I keep getting asked for it repeatedly when trying to activate my account
