I'm sick of seeing all these tempting thumbnails of Jags at the to of the screen only to receive the "Invalid User specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator" message when I click on them.

I'm not actually expected to 'notify the administrator' evey single time am I? (I'd have to be doing it several times a day!)

So I take it these are users who have been deleted. Why do the thumbnails still show up?

That is an ongoing old problem. When a user was/is deleted their garage pics remain behind them.

Requiring manual removal. Snag is the pics need to be removed before the person is deleted otherwise we get the above message.

At least that is how I work it.

Bit of a catch 22.

But we are aware of the issue, it was one of the reasons behind some of the New Member restrictions, to prevent a spammer from filling a garage with dodgy pics, becoming banned but leaving their stuff behind them for posterity.

It is one of those rainy day jobs, that takes a serious amount of time, to get into the garage and open and delete each pic individually so that we don't lose the good with the bad. Before the member is deleted.

One of the others might be able to put it better.

I'm gonna have another look at this and see if there's a way round it....It is a real PITA i know, but as it stands we just have to live with it.

 

I know I make periodic runs through the galleries in an attempt to clear out the empty galleries. It is amazing how many times I find galleries with the same name, from the same person, that all of them have nothing in them. C'est la vie.
