Default HELP! cant post new thread

I just spent an hour trying to post a new thread with pictures. I have done this on several other forums so I understand how to do it. After a good hour of writing content and posting pictures when I hit "preview post" I got a message " your token has expired" ? Of course. everything I posted is now gone. What gives???

Oh damn. Sorry about that, extremely frustrating.
I've not seen that message although people have mentioned a timeout on editing.
What's best is to do the writeup in Word then cut + paste it here.
Pictures won't cut + paste - presumably you've read the thread on posting pictures + know what to do.
Again, sorry but it's always quicker the second time.

I just redid the thread cutting and pasting as suggested. It came up with the same "Token expired" message. Then I tried to post in the XK/XKR forum that I would like to share but I cant. Trying to post just words came up with the same error message! I'm going to give up! I hope this will post!!

This seems to happen more when I use IE (my default browser).

My advice for a longer post, before you hit the 'Submit' button do a simple CTRL+A, then CTRL+C so at least you will have a copy of your post stored on your local clipboard should you need it.

Then if you receive the time out notification, after logging in again, all you need to do is use CTRL+V to paste back into a reply.

I won't recommend changing browser, that's a personal thing, but you could have your setting to 'Remember Me' which for some reason seems to avoid some of the time out scenarios.

Either that, or practice typing faster. LOL
