I just noticed the "referrals" under the statistics tab. What does it mean?

curious minds want to know!

Hi Rick

As best as I understand it, a new member may have included/quoted your User ID in the registration form stating that you were the person who introduced them to the forum.

Or you may have sent an interesting post to a non member using the email this page function.

Your user ID number would be included in the page link, and if subsequently this person signed up for membership you get credited with the 'Brownie Point'.

To see how this might work, try clicking on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then 'Email This page'.

You will see an email open with the thread title + your user ID number.

There are other ways of using the referrer system, but I'm not sure that they are in use. (From an interest point of view I'll have a delve).

I hope that you can see the Thread Tools/Email function. Like as not, will only be available to Full Access members in the same way as the PM system.
