has anyone had problems with dealing with sng barratt
I know they are a big Supporter of jaguar forums
in the last 5 months I had spent close to 2000 dollars with sng barratt
had to replace a piston after my 4.2 v8 dropped a value seat on cylinders 2
so I ended up replacing both cylinder heads
every cylinder had 175 psi except cylinder 2 had 0
l ended up replacing every gasket bolts on bottom end
when I received rings I was a bit taken back it was only for one piston
Will at first engine ran great
175 psi all 8 cylinders
Then at the beginning of December it lost comparison in cylinder 2 now only have 115 psi
when I phoned sng Barratt
I was made to feel like a idiot
even though I am rebuilding engines for a living been 30 years
I was told I have to send rings back so they can be checked out i understand this
But the freight costs was more than the rings cost
not only that there is all the gaskets i will need to replace again

So my question is
Are there any other companies that sell a large range of jaguar products like sng Barratt
as I don't really want to deal with them
When I asked about a discount on parts I was told don't be funny

As you probably know, S N G Barratt Group is based in the UK with branches in other countries. It's the USA branch that is a forum Sponsor. Not that it should make the remotest difference in how you are treated as a customer but which source did you use for the order?

I was not aware it was the United States branch that was the sponsor
I have been dealing with the uk branch
because when I first emailed the usa branch I never got any response back from them
