Default When to "thank" members?

What is the protocol for "thanks"? As far as I'm concerned, I'd thank everyone who responds to my question(s)...

I use it more for when a member has solved a problem for me, or if his information in the post has helped me fix it.
Overuse would diminish the purpose, IMHO.

Hey there Blue, Like Avt007 I generally use it If I find the post either helpful to me, or in my role as Admin If I feel one member has helped another.

Help can come in many forms, from some very useful info, a good contact for a Tech or parts supplier. It could even be just some kind words about you or your ride.

It's a very subjective thing to be honest and we all use it a little differently from each other I guess.

The trick is though as stated, not to overuse it........I've seen it on my VWAudi site and it just gets hit to death there.

Cheers
