Ugh, Jag what are you doing!!?!?

Once again money and time invested in something that will never see the light of day, much like the C-X75 they made special for the bond film.

Up until less than a month ago Jaguar was a distant idea for me, because in my head when I thought of a luxury or sports car Jaguar just wasn't even in that realm for me, I had forgotten all about them! I love my XF, wish more people would give Jaguar a chance but they seem to live in a world that they themselves do not reside in!

That all electric car looks amazing, so why not do a limited run of them? Why not allow this vehicle to go on a track and compete with the rivals? Why not develop this car, sell it at supercar prices while scaling it down into a affordable sports car for the masses and then take those same design cues and apply it to your standard XE, XF and XJ variants? Yes I understand that is what they are going to do, but they are doing it with a vehicle that does not exist, has not been road tested, does not have videos showcasing its amazing abilities. Youtube is not going to be flooded with searches for this vehicle seeing it go against Lambos, Paganis, Buggatttis etc etc. They are not going to watch a review of this on Youtube and then suddenly be recommended a video for an F-Type and then recommended a video for a XE (that is actually affordable to many people!) This vehicle gives nobody a reason to look into it, it exists in a videogame only, therefore it does not exist; just like Masterchief, Sonic and all the tech in shown in most video games.

Jaguar needs a new supercar, one that can be put on the track. One that can be bought by millionaires looking for that flashy car to cruise the stirp with. They need a car that brings the name Jaguar to peoples lips again because if people associate Jaguar with top of the line vehicles and they combine it with the increased reliability and warranty coverage they've painstakingly worked to improve it can drive sales. I mean how much money was spent on the C-X75, just to have it in a bond film! How much money was spent making a digital car for Grand Turismo? Jaguar is in a transition period and its been very rough for them, they need to get people excited for owning a Jaguar again. Audi, Mercedes, BMW; those are the cars you see the most executives driving around, even Porsche is selling more cars than Jaguar, freakin Porsche!.. People just assume a porsche is going to be faster, they know a Lambo will be faster and they know a Ferrari will be faster; so what does a Jaguar really outpace on a track? A Camry? A Malibu? It can't compete with half the American muscle cars and they cost 10's of thousands less. Just look at the new Stingray coming out, it costs 30-40k less than an F-type and achieves a 0-6 in almost 1/2 the time, looks like a Ferrari and can be serviced anywhere.

This is the problem with Jaguar right now, they used to have a legacy in racing and now they seem to be happy to let every other vehicle trash them on the tracks. Youtube is huge, their are kids out their who know far more about Bugatti, koenigsegg and other boutique cars that have only emerged because they dominate and are driven by celebrities. Cars like a Lambo or Ferrari have this aura around them that attract well off buyers but have influential reaches to the masses. What those companies don't have is a large consumer market approach, the only 80k Lambo you will find is decades old and getting them serviced is even more difficult. Meanwhile Jaguar has a dealer network, it has vehicles it sells for well under 80k, it has a consumer market that is craving a reason to own a Jaguar.

This in my opinion was a drastic waste of resources if they never attended to visualize it to production. It accomplishes nothing for Jaguar, this blip in advertising will not help them even in the short term.
