Angry about the CX-75
Is anyone else getting really mad about the Jaguar CX-75? It sounded like it was a technological breakthrough for Jaguar and an absolute beast of a supercar. But it is not to be.
I'm sure they wouldn't have made hardly any money on it, but it would've been an awesome car to propel Jaguar into the future.
Yet Jaguar continues to use the CX-75 in their marketing materials. Jaguar, you can't have it both ways!
It bears a resemblance to the 1960s XJ13 prototype, which ironically was also stillborn.

It also bears some resemblance to the XJ220 which was my first true car love.
My guess is that once the accountants got done they figured it would be too insanely expensive to actually sell.
I read that VW more or less breaks even on the Bugatti Veyron, even at a million bucks or more. Not sure how many buyers there would be for a Jag at that price point.
Still, it is too bad.

Yet Porsche has found a way to make the Porsche 918 work, which seems to be a car that is very similar in concept.
Jaguar says the CX75 is supposed to prove that green cars can be fun and exciting. But in my opinion, it proves that green cars that are fun and exciting will never exist because nobody has the ***** to produce them!

Maybe not really finished yet
I see the same contributions from Jaguar on Google+. I'm not angry about them. I just wonder why Jaguar keeps on extoling the car though they abandoned the plans to built it.
Maybe the truth is that they are not really finished with the subject CX-75 and just temporarily laid their plans on ice. Who knows?
