Default 1967 Jaguar?

Thinking of purchasing a car from a neighbor of mine. He says it's a 1967 Jaguar. Didn't give me much more information. I haven't seen the car yet he only sent me some pics. The pics he sent me don't seem to match any of the other 67s I have seen online. Does this info seem accurate? Value?

Appears to be a Series 2 XJ6, which was in production from 1973 to 1979.

Check the VIN and vehicle registration information to determine the exact year.

Condition = value.

Post in correct forum for additional help.

The year model should be listed on the title, although that doesn't necessarily make it accurate.

(I'm assuming Texas is a title state?)

My reason for bringing it up ... if the seller doesn't have an accurate fix on the year model, he may not have a title. If there is no title, it can cost quite a bit to obtain one.

Here in Mississippi I had to get a bonded title for my '63 Mark 10. The fee is based on valuation of the vehicle by some chart "somewhere" ... and as soon as you say Jaguar, their eyes light up!

Their valuation on my $500 project car was somewhere in the $13 - 14k range ... I nearly fainted!
In actuality the fee was only $203. That was stiff enough!

Just saying .....

It is a Texas car with a clean title (or so he says). When I finally got a hold of him to talk to him I found out it has a 350 conversion. He wants $2500. Just lost interest.
