Hey guys,

I am working on restoring my 420G engine, and I am working on the carbs. I was looking for carb rebuild kits, but I only found ones that were priced from $100-200 CAD for one carb. Does anyone know if there are any kits that are sold for cheaper, or if there is a place I can send the carbs in and get them rebuild/cleaned?

I have the 4.2 Litre engine, which has the triple SU HD8 carbs on it.

Or, does anyone know if there is an upgraded fuel system I can change to?

As with most parts I have searched, when I was ready to do my carbs the prices were all over the place. I believe I ended up getting them from Barrett's, but I think that, at the time anyway, SU was still selling them as well. I think I paid about $50 each for the kits- 5-6 years ago maybe.

Call Joe Curto ... He can do the overhaul work, or provided the kits if you want to do the work. You may need only a partial kit, based on what you are looking to achieve or correct. I had 3 ZS for a XKE project overhauled by Joe, the work and setup advice was excellent.
