i purchased Harry Smedley's Mark IX several years ago and I was wondering if anyone out there knew him. I have his book, "Genevieve, a Love Story", but just curious.

I am about to get it going after lettung it sit in my garage for awhile. The fuel tanks have been cleaned, it's needs the tranny gone through.

I've just joined the forum and have had a Mark 7 for over 20 years.
I did not know Harry Smedley but have enjoyed his book.
Going back a while the late Larry Martz from Sacramento (was very active on the Jag Lovers Mark 7-9 forum) was a good friend of Harry, from what he told me.
Not sure if that helps, but Larry was a real gent and spoke highly of Harry and his car.

My Mark 9 has loose trunk handles. They flop around. Evidently the detents have worn. Any advice on tightening them up a bit?
