Tennessee Williams Jaguar 1951

Anyone have any idea of the Jaguar model that Tennessee Williams owned in Europe in 1951 - he's mentioned as crashing it with a thermos full of martinis on board in Rome, then later it's repaired and driving around Paris...... maybe an XK 120 Coupe?
