Description:

I owned the car since the early '80s and I like to find a good home for it

Originally an ugly Fawn color (beige) In 1986 It went an extensive and expensive body off restoration and painted with jaguar Gray original color used on 1986 XJS, BBS style wheels from Jaguar XJS fitted on the car and sent to be anodized in matching Gray color

Complete interior replacement, the engine was redone, Stainless exhaust system was fitted, rear axle assy. With all-new poly. Bushings to replace the original rubber the Diff. was redone at the same time, updated Lucas ignition amplifier was fitted

The car was featured at the Detroit Autorama after completion in 1988

Very little used since restoration was done, and I had to put in storage in 1994 (lack of space and time)

Space is a real problem now and as I am getting older I don't have the ability to "tinker" with the car every spring as these cars need to and we started spending the summers away from Michigan and that's the only time I may use the car!

Most very thing works fine but after all, it is an E-type and attention is needed to minor details,

Last time I drove the car was in the summer of 2018 and I am attaching pictures of it then (was washing the car in my driveway) but I can arrange to go to the storage garage and get more details

The car is in storage at a friend's garage and to see the car I need to arrange visits

60k or 61k miles

Time and space!
my wife doesn't want to ride in it as it is not the most comfortable car to enter and get out of L.O.L.
these cats need attention,
I have an every day VP, XJS 4.0 for sunny warm days and a 09 XJ Portfolio, no issues just turn the key and wash the cars
I hate seeing it not being used more even for a short drive

Gorgeous machine! It's posted on the front page, so hopefully that brings you some eyeballs. Good luck with the sale!
