About 2 years ago my XK8 was misdiagnosed as having a throttle body problem. A new throttle body was purchased and installed and then more time was spent tracking down the issue. The key thing is that the TB that I removed was in perfect operating order and has been sitting in a box in my garage ever since.
I'd be happy to part with it for $100 if someone wants it. You pay shipping.

Throttle body
I may be having the same issues. I had my 99 tb rebuilt and it is not installed yet. shop really did a number on the throttle cable end so I had to find one for my 99 xk8 4.0L. Shop won't get around to it for a week or two. Do you know if your throttle body will fit a 99 xk8? I'll take it if so as a backup. Mike
