Description:

Beautiful and rare (Well, maybe not rare on these forums) 2003 Jaguar S-Type R (supercharged V-8) with 127K miles, drives great. I have owned this car for the last 5 years.

- Touchscreen navigation, Alpine speakers and factory sub in great condition
- Parking sensors
- Leather in excellent condition
- Paint in very good condition with the exception of 3 areas (1-small scratch on drivers door 2-small blemishes on rear bumper, no dents, just paint 3-front passenger bumper has chip/flake where bumper and trim meet down low). I had the paint polished/corrected about 3 years ago.
- Replaced battery in 2018 (battery under warranty until 2023)
- Four new tires @ 122K miles
- New downstream o2 sensor (replaced last week when I changed the oil)
- Replaced RCCM at 120K miles
- Extensive service at 123K miles(March 2019), replaced coolant resevoir, upper and lower coolant hoses, transmission cooler lines, supercharger belt, serpentine belt, dual climate control valve(DCCV), wiring harness partially corroded and replaced,  Work done at Coventry Cars of San Diego with receipts.
- Transmission fluid drain and fill with new pan/filter and flashed TCM at 123K, also at Coventry Cars. Transmission fluid sent to Blackstone Laboratories for analysis. Report came back good, will include report with purchase. Pic of the report included in listing.
- Replaced spark plugs and all coils at 110K miles.
- Replaced complete headlight assemblies, both left and right, with chrome S-type versions (2019). Replaced ballasts in both.
- Replaced various things: windshield trim left and right, new glove box and latch, trim piece surrounding passenger foglight, hood latch and cable.
- Oil changed every 5000 miles, changed the oil last week, WIX oil filter and Mobile 1 5w-30.

There are a few things that I haven't finished on the car:
- Cam cover gaskets should be replaced. They are seeping but not leaking/dripping yet. Use the OEM kit with spark plug seals (less than $100).
- Front lower control arm bushing should be replaced
- microswitch in J-Gate is dirty or faulty and doesn't release shifter when depressing the brake, It must be released by hand. If dirty, it can be cleaned and just requires labor, at worst a used J-Gate is less than $200.
- Passenger occupancy sensor fault, could be sensor or wiring. EST $100 to run IDS diagnostic, clear codes and reconfigure (at Conventry Cars, quote from 2019).
- Engine mount is sagging and should be replaced.
- sunvisor plastic anchor should be replaced (cracked)
- should replace some drip moulding clips (part#XR826786020, $1.50 at SNG Barratt).

I really put a lot of love into this car. I tried to be as thorough in my description as possible. I think the price is solid but feel free to shoot me a reasonable offer. This is a LOT of car for the money and has been well cared for.

Car is Located in San Diego, California.

Solid looking ride! Have you made any improvements that update it in terms of technology? For example, Aux Input to hook up music player via headphone jack, Bluetooth, Sat Radio, etc?

I run music via a bluetooth fm transmitter located in/under the center armrest. It pairs to my phone automatically when I start the car. I forgot about that in the description. The transmitter also has two usb ports, one for charging my phone and the other for additional music input.

Assuming I wanted to car with everything you listed as "needing to do", can you ask your mechanic Coventry what it would cost for a turn-key (parts, sourcing and labor combined) fix. Knowing how much I'd need ti immediately pay him to make "everything perfect and up to date" would help with budgeting.

I have quotes from Coventry for some of the things (these quotes are from last year). These include labor and parts (hourly labor isn't cheap at Conventry, on par with my local Lexus dealership). These are common enough repairs (except the diagnostic) that you would be fine having a non jag independent perform and you would save some money.

Reseal both cam covers $795
Replace both engine mounts $689
Lower control arm bushingss $535
Passenger Occupancy sensor diagnostic $100

Note that the Occupancy sensor quote is for the diagnostic to find out where the issue is (possible wiring issue, possible sensor). If you would like to hire a mobile/local mechanic and have them perform a pre-purchase inspection, you are more than welcome to contact me and we can work out a time.

One more thing, car was smogged this last Sunday.
