Description:
I recently bought an F-Type so I am selling my 2003 XJR. It is currently on consignment with a local dealer (in Raleigh, NC) so go here to see pics and a walk-around video:
https://www.cabrioletmotors.com/deta...r-xjr/79184418
Contact them to see/drive the car as well as for any purchase negotiations.
I intended to put it on BAT but they were taking too long and I am about to be out of town for a few weeks. So, I decided to hold off on the auction and consign it while I am gone. I will revisit BAT if necessary when I return. With that said, I did a walk-around video where I discuss the car in detail:
I also did a quick acceleration video:
As I said, if interested you should contact the dealer to see the car but you can certainly message me with any questions regarding the history of the car as well as its condition. I did all of the maintenance myself from the point of purchase two years ago and am very familiar with it.
Thanks!
Ben Brown

Good videos and good driver. The sunroof not working is a shame. That little motor is so petite. I’ve changed it before. It’s not bad job. I would recommend possibly fixing it. Plenty of donors on EBay still & elsewhere.
i would leave this off of BAT. This a daily driver and I don’t think you will find an audience to appreciate a driver like you said. Go grocery shopping and not worry about it etc I had a 98 XJR BLK/BLK. It was my mad max car. I did everything you could do to it to make power. UK Powerhouse intercooler, lower pulley, upper 2.5lb pulley, rebuilt Eaton, Borla exhaust with 200 cell cats. Only missing nitros. I turn d it into a 5.0 liter basically. doors and body are really strong compared to most cars Dings and scratches are had to see at 45mph.
have the shocks been replaced? Do you have a cam chain replacement? Transmission service
major concerns are rims/tires and sunroof. Coventry 19’s on x308’s just look correct.

Shocks not needed but I did replace some of the front suspension components working on addressing a steering issue when I first bought it. Transmission service done by me in early 2019. I detail all of these in a pdf with maintenance records that I will provide to any serious buyer who contacts me and asks.
I had a '98 Black/black XRJ as well from 2001 to 2007. I replaced it with an 05 XKR coupe.
Sorry but I don't agree on the wheels. I think the BBS Milan's on the R1 package are the best looking wheels for the XJR. Of course my XKR had the handling package which included BBS Detroit's and I thought they were the best looking XKR (100) wheels. So I'm biased.
I disagree on BAT; plenty of nice drivers (often with more miles than mine) go through there daily and decent Jags like this one do pretty well. In fact, an almost identical car with the same miles and in the same general condition pulled $18000 in June. I feel like that was an exception price-wise, though.
But all of this is subjective, of course.

A non working sunroof? Wow. Value is subjective to an interested subset. I don’t think this vehicle would do at all well on BAT due to the sophistication of buyers. EBay ,Craigslist, Car Guru snd this dealer you have it parked at is a good place. Putting it on this forum as well is not a good place.
below is what your car is worth in market It has the black interior as well and 2 owners.

I did take a look at the sunroof motor and that isn't the issue. I actually think it's the control module. As I said, I have been in there before and replaced a broken track and could certainly do the module. You have to drop the headliner board for that one. I just don't have the time right now so that will be an easy project for the next owner.
