Would you post the maintenance records, or a line-item summary of them? How long have you owned the car, and do you have the history prior to your ownership?

Can you add any more photos? What maintenance might you anticipate would be needed in the next 1-2 years?

Thank you,

I have owned the car for 7 years. I have very little history prior to my ownership; the car was dealer maintained for many years but they would not tell me any specifics.

If anyone wants photos of certain areas please post a request with a list.

Repairs and Maintenance done:

  1. Replace dual horns
  2. Mobil 1 oil and OEM Jaguar oil filter every 12 months (typically 4000 miles) Drain plug
  3. Replace stained trunk liner
  4. Re-wire right rear door speaker
  5. Replace all under pan bolts and brackets with OEM
  6. Restore and powder coat 5 OEM alloy wheels
  7. Replace gearbox oil cooling lines
  8. 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport tires at 112k miles
  9. Replace mass air flow sensor, air filter and cabin air filter
  10. Replace EGR hose.
  11. Replace heater core
  12. Replace all plugs and coils with OEM Jaguar
  13. Complete gearbox rebuild by Garry Ferraro (see his YouTube channel for "Jeff's transmission) including valve body and new solenoids, Rebuilt Torque Converter and reprogramming to latest Jaguar TCM software. (at 122k miles)
  14. Replace passenger side upper blend door motor
  15. Replace headlight washer pump
  16. Replace all brake rotors and pads. (Brembo Pads and Pagid Rotors) Included full brake fluid flush and optimization of rotor alignment with dial indicator.
  17. Replace 90% of coolant hoses
  18. Unbolt, clean and re-torque all ground points and spray with fluid film
  19. Replace lambswool floor mats with NEW OEM
  20. Rebuild front suspension - control arms, sway bar links and tie rod ends. included new OEM Bielstein air struts.
  21. Replace Thermostat
  22. Repair windshield chip
  23. Replace trunk lid release switch
  24. Re-wire sidemarker lights
  25. Replace arm rest with new OEM
  26. Replace noise suppression capacitors on gearbox and left side of engine
TOTAL: approximately $14,000 over 7 years.
Some Upcoming Maintenance Items:
  1. AGM Battery is 6 years old but has ALWAYS been on a maintainer and works perfectly
  2. Michelin Tires from 2019 are 2/3 used.
  3. Brake pads are about 2/3 used. Rotors are still very good
The car and I will be at the Lime Rock Park Historic Festival on Sunday August 31. Go to the Jaguar section of the "Gathering of the Marques" out on the track.

Best Regards
Jeff

Sorry, I forgot to add in the $ for the gearbox rebuild so the total maintenance over 7 years was more like $18,000

I have watched many of Garys videos. He is the best. I remember watching the Jeffs transmission one. I spoke to Gary on the phone once about a trans problem i had and how the fix was new coils. He said he had never heard of that but when i explained what happened he understood and would keep info in his head. Wish i were closer to you

JCalhoun, what photos do you have of the front? And would you post any photos of flaws in the finish of the vehicle? 7 years of owning this Jaguar, what is your ownership history of Jaguars prior to this? What are your reasons for selling?
Thank you, Doc

See attached photos of front of car and the 3 flawed areas of paint (a scratched area on the hood that can be covered by a nickel, a 2 inch long series of scratches on the c-pillar , and scratches on the rear bumper) In addition, there is one barely visible ding in the center of the roof and one on the right side of the hood. My reason for putting the car up for sale is my retirement from a 40 year career as a mechanical engineer designing mechatronic lab equipment. I will be performing many volunteer roles and travelling a great deal and it will become difficult to keep the car in the condition I have brought it to.
