Jaguar F-Type 2013 - 2020
Description:

I bought 21" VS Forged VS03s in black with tinted face. This are super light weight monoblock forged wheels built specifically for the F-Type and had a 15 week lead time. I had to put half down as a non refundable deposit and as I'm now selling the F-Type and the wheels still haven't been delivered yet, I'm trying to sell these and get at least some of my money back. They're 21x10.5R and 21x9F. I bought a wheel and tire package, but was able to get a refund on the tires so I'm just selling the wheels. They are brand new, never had tires mounted, never been on a car. Here is a link if you're not familiar http://vsforged.com/vs03/ I've asked the vendor for some pics and they are going to be sending me some, but I am attaching a pic of exactly what they look like. Also attaching a pic of 21" VS03s on an actual F-Type, though it is not my F-Type and the wheels in the pic are chrome instead of black with tinted face like mine are. These cost $2800 and I'm out $1400 with the deposit. You can get these for a steal since they are absolutely brand new and I'm between a rock and a hard place. They are also at a wheel vendor so they can drop ship them right to your house, no problem.

Technically yes. I was just about to pop smoke and disengage. I told the vendor to just cut the manufacturer his check and refund me the rest yesterday (Friday) afternoon. He said it would be next week before it could get done, so if you wanna make a deal, now is the time.

Hi Kona,

Well I am a little confused as to what I would end up paying for these? Is it the $2300 less your $1400? I am also a little concerned about these being 21". Are there any issues with the AWD system? Did you check into this?

These aren't exactly what I would have chosen, but I was looking to maybe change out my wheels for something black.

Let me know.

You would pay $2300 to wheel warehouse, then I would only owe them $500 (which they already have since they have the full amount) so they would send me a check for $2300 instead of me eating the deposit of $1400. Basically I'm losing money either way. Either I lose the $1400 deposit and VS Forge keeps the wheels, or I pay the full amount, Wheel Warehouse takes possession, you pay wheel warehouse, and then they refund me $2300 and I'm only out $500. They know what they're doing over there and these will work. It's the same overall tire height. Why would it mess with the AWD system?

Kona,

I was only looking to spend $1500 on rims and then they would have been 20” so I could reuse my tires. With these being 21” I would have to spend another $1600 on tires. What tires were you going to put on them? I think I’d have to tap out at $1800 including shipping.

I believe they will ship them for you, included, but $1800 would only save me like 400 bucks. Not really worth the hassle since the deal could fall through and once wheel warehouse takes possession i'm on the hook for the entire amount. Pilot sport 4S is the tire i bought to put on there. Not sure what tires you have, but I personally wouldn't reuse them on new wheels unless they're BRAND new tires. I've never had a set of tires last more than 10k miles personally. Anyway, sounds like you're not actually interested and since you had such a low # in mind to start with, not sure why we even went down this path. I'll just close this thread since I've already set in motion getting what refund I can and sending a check to the manufacturer. I just thought someone would jump on these at the price. The cheapest I've seen them anywhere was $2880 and usually more like $3k so $2300 literally brand new, never even seen by me, much less touched, I figured I'd seal a deal in a couple days. Anyway, happy wheel hunting.

Kona,

The problem is these are wheels that YOU love. They are to YOUR taste. Don't get me wrong, they are nice-looking wheels, but not exactly what I would have chosen for my car. If these were the same wheel I was gonna by anyway, of course I would pay more. Still I thought the color was right and if the price was right I could live with them. Custom rims are things you change to please yourself, Unless you find a buyer who loves them as much as you, they don't add value to a car, they just may make your car more desirable over a similar year car with similar miles and in similar condition when it comes time to sell. It's kind of like selling a house and including all the furniture, if the buyer loves your taste it adds value, if they don't it's a negative as they have to get rid of it all. Speaking of which, how come you sold your F-Type?

NOTHING "adds value" to a car. It's a depreciating asset. Anyway, you don't want the wheels, let's just move on. Take care
