You seem very knowledgeable, so I hope you don't mind....I had my cat replaced in my x-type 2002 and within the same week I noticed a severe leak. It was coming from the seal(?) that is in front of the front differential. When I brought it back to the shop, they did admit having to remove the drive shaft in order to get to replace the cat converter, but they told me that they didn't cause the leak. What could have happened?

Hi James, first let me say what a fantastic set of photos you have on record, very helpful in my engine swap, what i would like to know is roughly how much it all cost you?
as i have my original engine sitting in the garage , it had a slight knock, apart from that all else was fine, good compression, good heads, just wondering how much rebuilding it myself would cost.
    regards, peter footitt

very impressed with your resserch into the AJ67 (not AJ30- AJ30 was the V8 Lincoln version of the AJ28 (from the S type). I was involved in the performance development of both the tranverse application AJV6 and the longitudinal as well as the still born R variant and the free breathing but also still born X600 V6.
