Evelyn in North Dakota
I'm finally getting around to accepting she's gone now. The Jag was hers - more than mine - and it looked better with her in it than me.
If you look closely at the photo in the attached obit, you might notice her "homemade" necklace. It is made from the "extra" parts left over from my working on the Jag while drinking. She thought I should save them in case they were really needed (I swore they weren't!), and loved the car enough to save them.
Driving the Jag with her in it always got me a "thumbs up" from the other guys at the intersection.
I do miss my wife, my best friend and my Jaguar Co-Pilot. Her favorite thing was playing the Blondie song "Maria" and yelling "GO FASTER!!!"
Just a small aside, but the anagrams of her birth name Evelyn Thea Larsen are:
1) "Really Heaven Sent", and
2) "Heaven's Eternally".
Nifty, eh?

Bruce, I can only begin to tell you how I really can imagine how you feel. I've been away from the forum a bit as we got acquainted with my lovely wife's New Beetle, her dream car that she acquired in April. Unfortunately we lost my most precious gift on July 1st. Our world will never be the same without her and yet is already so much better for the time she was here. Michelle was with me the moment "kitty" came into our lives and she was very patient as I crossed jag ownership off my bucket list.
Condolences, from someone who is still inconsolable. As we have asked, if everyone could just take a moment to do something kind today, we would be closer to filling the "nice" void this lovely woman has left.

Bruce - I'm so sorry about your loss. I lost my wife after several years of fighting ovarian cancer and I had to sell the 57 Chevy "we" were working on because I could bear to even look at it anymore. Peace, brother!

Hello Bruce,
No words can say what the heart feels but I'm sorry that you had to suffer such a lost. I know that, I may be a day late and dallor short but she is happy and one day we will find that grace.
