Hey everyone. I am Joes brother and I wanted to give you all a heads up as to where things are. I thought I had joined back two years ago when the accident happened (2011) but must not have. Anyhow, first and foremost I want to say thank you to all who had kind things to say! Very late and I apologize for that.

As for the update, the other driver was charged and he bailed out. He was never convicted as it showed up in a post I read on here. His court date is set for Oct 7th. Talk about stretch it out, to me that's crazy and Joes STR is still sitting in a tow yard and we cant see it until after the trial.

I would like to inform let you know the papers have a few details incorrect. The Jag burned not the ladies car. I do feel for the family of that woman, and she definitely didn't deserve what happened to her. I will report back after the trial is over and let you know the outcome. He is sorely missed!

I wasn't a forum member in 2011 when Joe died and have read through the thread here in the memorial section today to learn the background.

A tragic accident which claimed the lives of Joe Paliokaitis and Migdalia Bloch, the driver of the other vehicle involved.

My thoughts are with both families.
