Mr. Ruck. The owner of the S Type registry is one of the solid volunteers at the Coventry Foundation. He has full access to all holdings. He is aware of your hostility toward the foundation . Should he decide to post the AC information for the S type and the 420 as well as the Mk2/MK10/420G and others on the web he certainly has the ability and authorization to do so. In fact if you read the news letters he has posted a lot of shared information is from the foundation's holdings. The issue is how much time do we have and what is a priority. In Thorsen's case if he asked for information he would be given it. If not important (read no request) then it would not. You stamping your feet does not move anyone. We have tons of files and information that we share with hundreds of folks weekly and on many more models than S types and 420s. We do not have time to deal with internet trolls as each day is filled with actual work. Your decision to attack us is sad and says more about you than us. We will continue to follow our mission statement and we will succeed. We are but 10 years into our project and have exceeded even our own goals. In the future perhaps you may wish to work with us instead of your unwarranted attacks--perhaps not it is up to you and the mod. here. For us we intend to follow our mission statement which is strictly the North American Jaguar experience as that was the main thrust of Jaguar cars. We will soon launch several new projects that will revolutionize Jaguar historical research. Perhaps you will be a part of that--perhaps not.

My Daimler DS420 has almost exactly the same routing and they used hose. I think that was more for convenience than anything else, as relatively few of the cars were fitted with air conditioning. They threaded the hose through the jacking points, and used P clips to hold the hose onto the floor. It's a massive system, they used #12 hose for the vapour line and #10 for the liquid. There is a reason it takes 6 lbs of R12!

However, it has a huge capacity, my car had both front and rear AC. I was charging the front and got it down to a nice 3°C vent temperature. Then I put my thermometer into the rear vents and it was at -20°C. Which was also as cold as my thermometer went! It turned the rear compartment into a freezer if I wanted. Not ideal for keeping the evaporator from freezing.

Non of which changes you from being selfish with information that all can learn from. You can't even provide a single pdf. on the subject at hand.
Your Mission Statement obviously requires revision. And don't bring Dave Reilly into this. He & I work very well together & I have contributed to his newsletter at his request. My Outlook inbox is full of read & responded e mails from him. Long-winded ramblings from you do not give them greater gravity. It's just noise. And I remind you that IBA's intentions are that this be a global forum. Not confined to NA. We have now achieved an approx 50/50 split at MBWorld finally that delights IBA for obvious reasons. Take the blinkers off. There is ROW out there for the pickings.

THREAD CLOSED

The input long ago lost any positive benefit and degenerated into a clash of ego's with puerile and tedious exchanges between a Forum Sponsor and a Veteran Member, both of whom should know better.

I have zero interest in what any member chooses NOT to post on the forum. However, if all members were to exchange information PRIVATELY through PM's there would be absolutely no point in having a PUBLIC forum.

We have acceptable standards of communication on jaguarforums which do not include vulgarity or personal attacks. Nationality is no excuse for boorish behaviour.

These spats cease here and now.

Graham
