this is not my interior but if you look at the end rear portion of the console there is some type of air vent grill, I am still trying to find mine and hope I do but if I cannot locate this item does anyone know where to buy it and what is that part called?

 

This is the chromed/metal grill that is fed by the 2 hoses by the heater on a mk2! I think the part no is BD17022, heat distribution outlet.
A breakers yard part I would think.

I think this will be very hard to find, as most 60s S-types have long gone to be baked bean tins. Of course this is a reasonably simple piece of sheet metal work, so it can be fabricated if you can find the dimensions, or work them out from your console.

 

that is the air vent/deflector for the rear floor of the S type.

the deflector itself is bolted to the transmission tunnel, the rear of the center console rests on it, and then the sides of the center console are screwed to it with two chromed screws and cup washers.

should be easy to find, contact used parts sellers on eBay.
