Hi guys! After a hiatus I'm back on the Primrose 66 S Type. Been making progress but the headliner trim is killing me. So I diverted to reassembling the dash for some Instant Gratification. I need to start drilling some holes in my hi gloss oh so purrfect burl on the glove box door. The horrors! The catch strap is relatively straightforward but I have a silly question on the toy door pull on the actual door.

first, is the pull centered on the lock or is it biased so the largest part of the loop is under the lock?

second, The screw in US cars is toward the center of the car. Is this the same on RHD cars, in other words, was the pull handed? Just wondering....

 

I will post pictures of my 1965 glovebox door tonite. There is a reversed "J" pull that is oriented to 6 pm and it also serves as a washer for the lock's nut.

the chromed sideways "C" handle is for the tray, not the door, though some cars have them mounted at the glovebox door, I don't know if it was a factory mount or owner addon.

In my LHD California car, the short side of the "C" handle is towards the driver side.
