Default Headliner replacement. The Nasty Jute mess.

I have removed my headliner, and found a dirty, dusty, mousy, mess of tarred- on 'Jute' padding. Scrapping it off was a nasty, nasty job - since critters had clearly been living up there in the past. Now I am left with just the rough remnants of the tar/glue.

I am wondering what to put back up there, in lieu of the 'Jute'? A DynaMat type pad comes to mind, but with the roof heat - I wonder if it will sag down onto the bows?

What have others used?
Thanks

On my MK2 I just used a sound deadening material from.the local trim shop glued in place and the headlining bars also hold it.

I was planning on using something like Dynamat too. Would there be issues?
