Default Jaguar 420 Master Thread (US)

Hey All, it seems to me that there are VERY few 420s left in the US and it would be nice to have a thread where we can all post model, year etc. for reference and comparison. Maybe the UK can also create a thread?

Please start a new thread for any extraneous conversation/questions, so we can keep this for easy reference to the 420.

I'll start:

VIN: (Optional)
Year: 1967
Color: metallic blue/green (factory) Currently white, future gray/blue maybe
Interior color: Blue vinyl Future, light beige or cream (AGD)
Manual or Auto: BW auto
Wheels: Wire, factory with 2 eared knockoffs
Accessories: radio- ,Sunroof (brand here) (factory?)
Restored or original?: Earl Scheib special white over factory, interior all original
Upgrades from stock: Parking lot strips on the side (WHYYYYY???) Now I have to fill them in.
Other interesting info:

Hi DSnyder586,
There is a website that has a lot of data on 420, S-types and classic saloons. It's been around for quit awhile, the website is:

SALOON Data - Keeping track of every Classic Jaguar Saloon - Jaguar, Daimler classic saloon (sedan) information, articles, photos and register

Then there is others;
SSJAGUAR Data - Keeping track of every Pre-War SS/Jaguar - Pre-war Jaguar Saloons and Sports Car information, articles, photos and register
XK Data - Keeping track of every Jaguar XK120, XK140 & XK150 - Jaguar XK120, XK140, XK150 information, articles, photos and register
XKE Data - Keeping track of every Jaguar E-Type - Jaguar E-Type (XKE) information, articles, photos and register
COVENTRYRACERS - Keeping track of every Jaguar C-Type, D-Type & Lightweight E-Type - Jaguar C-Type, D-Type, XKSS and Lightweight information, articles, photos and register

One piece of info that is required is the Car/Chassis/VIN number. Thats how they vehicle is identified. Example Your car would be 1Fxxxx, the base chassis number. Some cars have a P in front for power steering and BW for auto trans or DN for manual trans after the base number. The P, BW/DN are not required, only the base car number.

Hope this helps
