Default MKII 3.4 1968 Power steering.

I have been asked to help with a power steering issue on a MKII 3.4 1968. The issues started when the owner had an issue with the steering, no obvious power assistance, no feedback from the road and just a general 'yuk'. He had it in his local Garage and after months of other work he got it back and asked me to drive it to assess the steering. It's fair to say that it was exactly as described before he had it 'fixed' and back it went. I was told that the pump was altered to enable fitting, and it was jamming, causing the pulley to spin on the shaft. He had added a grub screw and extra lock washers in his attempt to stop it spinning and the pump jamming. I was asked to take the steering pump away to see if I could find the issue.. The first problem was a bodged LP side input pipe that had been cut at 45 degrees and welded to make a sort of elbow from the straight pipe (see photograph).. apparently to aid fitting (??). the elbow was at more like 40 degrees and was an obvious restriction of the input which IMO was cause of the apparent jamming of the pump.. the second issue was that this steering pump came off a Renault 9, 1.7 saloon!!
So my issue is quite simple, can anyone suggest where I can obtain a genuine power steering pump because I have lucked out? OR has anyone got experience of a similar Renault to Jaguar swap?

The 'elbow joint' which restricts flow IMO

Are you after the original Eaton pump that runs off the back of the generator or an after market pump to fit the application he now has. I am sure I have a spare Eaton pump in my box of many things if you want to PM me and my wife has told me to sell the things I no longer require.
The other way is to fit the pulley powered pump from a 420 which is a stand alone pump not connected to the generator but when on the 420 it sat on the left of the engine over the top of the distributor and on the Mk2 and S Type there is limited space there to fit it.

This is the pump used if you have a steering rack upgrade kit installed.
I had the same pump, including the welded pipe.
Does this car has a steering rack, ( from a XJ6 ).
In that case the pump on the generator has not enough pressure.
You need a pump from a XJ6.
I removed all the hydraulics from the steering rack and installed a electric power steering Column.
Made from a Open Corsa C.
