MkII 'Factory Louvered Bonnet'

Was there ever a 'factory' louvered bonnet option for the MkII?

Jaguar Mk2 3.8 litre 1964 for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand

I've only ever known of the Coombs style louvers on a MkII (two large banks running parallel down the bonnet), and I didn't think there was a factory option for louvers at all.

Bonnet louvres were never a factory option in terms of retail sales, but there may have been some special ones done for certain customers. Jaguar could be quite accommodating to people it regarded as important customers. The Coombes conversions were the ones that are well known as having louvres. Who converted their bonnets, I don't know.

I have a louvered 3.8s hood which might work for you..

I have a 1965 3.8s Jaguar which is very close to the MKII that has a louvered hood. I plan on putting a stock hood so if you want to buy it from me let me know.
