Default My first MoT (UK owners)

I recently bought an Australian import Jaguar 3.4 S which had been gently worked over by the previous owner. I decided to MoT it yesterday just to make sure everything was ok as my kids travel in it.
Well, it might be 57 years of age and having its first MoT, but didn’t it just surprise me with a pass with no advisories!!!!
To say I was happy is an understatement. Here are some pictures or the completely original floor!
Sadly it is up for sale but I’m hoping to make a few shows before it goes.

In the UK they are used to looking at things more perforated than that ~ or more to the point attempts to hide such perforations.

Australian sourced older Jaguars are generally more rust free than European and North American examples.
Only a miniscule approx. 5000 square miles of alpine area uses road salt in a continent of approx. 3,000,000 square miles.
The overall climate is generally drier except for some tropical regions.
Rust does occur but is more likely from exposure to rainfall. Rot underneath the car will generally involve mud.
The interiors suffer more from intense exposure to sunlight "cooking" the leather and bleaching woodwork.
Paintwork cracks up in exposure to severe sunlight, UV. and extremely hot conditions.

If you are looking at buying an Australian sourced Jaguar, be very careful as we also have "experts" in using "bondo" which we call "bog"
