Default Nasty chrome finisher

The chrome finisher on the rubber seal at the rear bumper is driving me crazy. After repainting the workshop put the rubber seal and the bumper o its place but not the chrome finisher.I have tried to put it on.There is a little hook I presume must be threaded in between the bumper and the body but itI have not succeeded.Must I loosen the bumper and then when i have som clearance thread the hook berween body and bumper. How far i from the bumper end should the chrome finisher be? How do You get the chrome finisher hooked to the rear bumper?

The rubber should extend to near the end of the bumper, stretch it somewhat and then slide the end clip on from beyond the bumper end. You may have "too short" a rubber.

Thanks the big problem is attsching the finisher to the body and bumper.i will probably have toremowe the bumper then attach it to the rubber and then hook it on to the bumper between body and bumper?

I think even the production guys at Jaguar in the 60s had trouble fitting these ! They really are a PITA !! I remember trying to fit mine in the late 80s.
