Default Rear wheel arches

Hi, are there any ready made replacement wheel arches that an be fitted to a mk2 in order to take a wider wheel. I’m thinking of an XJ6 or similar.

For removable rear wheel arches (aka spats or valences), there are several narrow ones available usually called Coombs though they aren't the same as anything Coombs did. Martin Robey sells them in steel and there are various in GRP on eBay. Since they are great rust traps, there's something to be said for GRP; they're also cheaper. An aspect that might concern you is how well the profile of the moulded edge matches that of the front wheel arch.

If the arch is to be permanent, the options are either follow Coombs and fill in the slot where the removable arch fits with some tube or adapt Robey's front arch repair sections. The former results in a rear arch with larger radius than the front, but still looks very good; the latter gives abn exact front-rear match, but requires more work to install and care in positioning

If you search through some old threads, you can find photos of cars with the different options.

Putting aside the grotesque, there are some nicer examples in the link above.

Every MK2 ever made is now over half a century old and in fact the last Mk2 is about 57 years old.
Why you want to stuff around with a car that old and kill part of its historical shape is beyond me.
I get p------d off with people modifying older cars in an attempt to "upgrade" their handling or similar excuse.
Go find some Japanese or Korean car to play silly buggars with and keep the Jag original
