Default Sill and brake questians

Has anyone a spare right hand complete sill for a 65 stype for sale. The one I got was a 1/2 sill and have been waiting for over a year from Martin Robey to stock. I bought new slave cylinder pistons for my rear brakes from Barrett and they came without the return spring swaged in them. Can these be bought individually. How do I remove them out of my old piston so I can reuse

If you look at the drawing here on the SNG Barratt website for the S-type, you'll see that a more modern caliper is used so there is no piston withdrawal mechanism. Compare this with the Mark 2 drawing.

Mark 2

Modern calipers don't have any piston withdrawal mechanism, it is done using the flexing of the piston seal. The old Dunlop type as fitted to the Mark 1 then the Mark 2 had a little clutch in the piston that took the pin that sticks out of the back of the cylinder. This is mounted with a spring washer that flexes on brake application, then springs back when the brakes are off and withdraws the piston a small amount.

It's odd that the Mark 2 cars never had the later caliper of the S-Type, but that's Jaguar for you. They probably had a very cheap deal on the Dunlop brakes provided they bought them for 10 years !!
