Default Turn arrows at dash

Hi again, Ive been driving my 66 as much as sanely possible this year, and have been dialing in some of the electrics and steering problems (as was said in the comic strip "Shoe" some years back, I was just fine tuning the fire out). So far I have got the dome lights, the license plate lights and the reverse lights all working. I also got the steering wheel back to almost straight after rather a lot of wrong- logic fiddling.
Coming to the point, while i was messing around the steering column behind the dash, I have caused the turn indicator arrows to go dormant. The gear selector lamp also went, but came back after some special wiggling. The bulbs are good, I retested them even though they had been working previous to my intrusion. I have plugged and replugged the silly connectors but cant seem to plead hard enough. I was poking around this forum a few days ago and saw a thread where someone mentioned the same problem with a similar cause but I cant find it now. Can anyone look behind my dash and tell me what I did? Thanks all~

All I can do for you is. The color coded wiring diagram is high res. Suggest you blow it up & have it laminated. Stick it on your garage wall as I have done. I re-harnessed my entire car when restoring & found it a huge help.

Thanks Glyn, I have previously stolen that diagram from the S-Type website. I have it printed and stuck in my shop manual (and have been referring to it) but having it laminated is a whole 'nother level... I may just need to do that..

you must have disturbed the black wires (Ground).

shouldn't be difficult to find. Get a bright light and light up the top of the steering column where those wires meet. The black wires meet at a 4-point connector with a rubber sleeve.
