Tyres
Good Evening All,
I've recently purchased a 1988 Daimler Double Six and require some new tyres but having a few issues working out what to buy and where from as the usual places do not seem to stock the items.
The current tyre are PIRELLI 215/70ZR15 speed rated W.
Thanks in advance.

hi,
you might post your question in the XJ-40 forum, this forum is for classics up to 1967. (more or less).
you can check eBay for new tires of the size you want. But before you hit the BUY NOW button, research the brand and model of the tire in question.
Some tires have really bad ratings. Buyer Beware. eBay should have a BUY NOT button too.

Actually, an '88 DD6 would be a Series III car, not XJ40
There's darn little available in 215/70x15 if you want a high speed rating and/or a performance oriented tire. You can still get a Michelin XWX with a V-rating for about $400 each. Ouch. I think it's mostly the Ferrari and Aston Martin crowd buying those.
If you'd be happy with a more ordinary tire then you have lots of choices...at least here in the USA. What are your priorities? Long life? Wet traction? Quite ride? Soft ride? Price?
Many go to a 16" wheel just to get more tire choices
Cheers
