A little better outlook than the chat room garbage I referenced previously:
From E-I:
Quote:
Presented yesterday, the Jaguar XKR GT2 conduct four demonstration laps in the day. Saturday, the car will run three loops. Note that the XKR has passed scrutineering at the end of the day.

Awesome!!!
You will love Laguna and the area, if you have not yet had the pleasure.
Pics would be great, there have been very few that have surfaced from the lake that was Road Atlanta. If you can get any of the rear end of the car, that would be terrific: the RSR XKR has a Hewland six speed transaxle installed, in place of the stock differential and instead of a forward mounted transmission. That would be interesting to see the drivetrain and rear suspension details.
Have a great time!
Edit: I'll add this link to the Atlanta debut here, in case anyone is interested and didn't see it in a parallel thread:

I am new to California and new to Jags, I was original going to buy a Luna Grey 2010 XKR however I got a deal on a Black 2009 XKR that I couldn't refuse. I have been driving it for 4 weeks now and absolutely love it.
I leave LA on October 8 to drive up the Coast to Laguna Seca, I have your wish list for photos and will do my best, both myself and the friend accompanying me are avid photographers so if the cars and drivers are there we will get the Photos.
I'll keep everyone posted.

OK I am at Laguna Seca, unfortunately I am yet to see the XKR GT 2 run. I saw the car in the pits and spoke with the mechanics, they went out for practice yesterday and had some "Technical" issues but didn't elaborate, I heard later it was a bearing in the drive train. They were hoping to get the car back out today but it was still in the garage when I left for the day.
I will be back tomorrow with an update and hopefully some photos of the XKR racing.
NB the action shot of the XKR is from yesterday and taken from here:

Ok here is my final on the ALMS Race, this is probably old news as I am sure it has by now been rported in the press. The XKR GT2 did 46 laps and pulled out with once again drive train issues, it accomplished a best lap time of 1:29.806 on lap 25.At least I got to see it on the track.
Sorry about the low res pics I havn't found a way to link them yet,
