1983 Jaguar Wuzza six
I got my then 83 XJ6 in 2001. soon thereafter, it suffered a major engoine catastrophe in August in California's very hot central valley. it never ran again as all holes showed zero compression. Where the coolant went, I never knew!!
Now, it is powered by a 94 Cadillac Fleetwood brougham LT1 and 4l60e transmssion. I refer to it as English elegance with American power.
I hope I am not looked mdown on as a butcher. The alternative was the wrecker.
I've lived and worked in Northern California's greater bay area since 1975.
I am a grease monkey and got oil in my blood with my forst car a non runnig T Ford in 1946.

Welcome to the forum Carl,
You're not alone here in having alternative power plant and transmission. The only thing that's totally unacceptable is not keeping the Jaguar clean.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
