Default 1996 Jaguar XJS Celebration AJ16

I live in Madrid, Spain and purchased this left hand drive convertable from Dave Clarke XJS Specialist in the UK three years ago. Car is regularly weekend use, and serviced jag agents in Madrid. Mileage 65,000.

Change of oil and filter every one thousand miile. Recommended oil Castrol Magnatec 10-40.

Runs sweet, oil levels as should be and oil pressure gauge spot on when on tick over and running.

Recently oil pressure light remains on. Is this a sensor problem or some other issue. Any advice welcome before I book it into the jag agents.

Barry

Welcome to the forum,

Sounds like the sensor if the gauge is showing good pressure, but it would be good to get it checked out to be sure.

Welcome to the forum.

Wow, an oil change every 1000 miles.

I'd get it checked, because I'm not sure that the gauge reads anything other than central on that model year.

Check into the XJS section, the guys know far more than me.
