Lightbulb 87 XJ6 - new member

just had rear brake line replace & master cylinder. i get rear brake vibration/chatter when applying brakes, but only in reverse. Make sense?

Is the a "USA" 1987 XJ6. That is, a Ser III car? Or is it an "XJ40"-type XJ6?

Did this problem crop up only *after* the brake line and m/c were replaced? Pretty weird.

Sounds like a caliper or brake rotor problem, perhaps.

Have you visually inspected the rear brakes? Anything loose or broken?

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
