Hi, I purchased my first Jaguar a week ago today and Google has been pointing me to this forum for several things I have been looking up, so thought I should join.

I live in Fort William in Scotland and was looking around for a AWD estate car and decided to go for a Jaguar, so now have a 2004 X-Type AWD 2.5 Auto Sport Premium Estate.

Cautiously happy so far with the car, if I get through another week without anything untoward coming to light then I think I will be very happy with the car!
(It drives lovely anyway and quite different from my Avensis)

Kind Regards,
(Stewart) Tonks.

Welcome to the forum Tonks,

I have many happy memories of the Glencoe / Ballachulish / Fort William area from sea kayaking in my long ago youth. A spectacular region.

Good to hear the Google search engine is working properly and brought you here.

If anything untoward does turn up, follow this link X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum for help and advice.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Welcome to this friendly forum Stewart and thanks for the introduction.
These cars are rather more reliable than you'd think from reading this forum (I suspect I will regret having said that)

It certainly felt like it the last time I crossed the reversing falls of Lorne from Kerrera to Mull.
