Hello everyone.

I'm a long time Jag enthusiast. My parents had a 4.2 while I was growing up that I always loved, and the E Type has always been one of my dream cars (along with the Lamborghini). I've had a 1970 2.8 Daimler Sovereign for about 10 years and just bought my first Jag a week ago - a 2001 XKR Silverstone which I absolutely love!

Thanks for the welcome and the full access

I spent quite a few hours in the weekend going through threads looking for an answer to my first problem - accidentally locking the boot! Glad to see that I'm not the only person who's done it.

Took it back to the dealer yesterday and my suspicion based on my research here was correct - it was stuck in valet mode. Six people had tried to solve the problem with no success. Easy to fix if you can find the manual lock, but it was so well hidden that no one could find it (in between the XKR letters)
