I first became aware of Jaguars when I was in the sixth grade, and ever since then I have thought of Jaguars as the quintessential vehicle. I always told myself that"some day" I would own a Jaguar. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2007, I realized that some day was now, and I purchased a 1997 sapphire blue XK8 convertible with 45,000 miles. She is gorgeous! Takes my breath away.
Unfortunately, I have run into some problems in the last couple of months, and while I am still in love with my Jag, and I am not happy with the service department at the dealership where I have been taking her. I happened on this discussion forum today after hearing bad news from my service rep. I am convinced they are giving me the run around. Will post more elsewhere in the discussion forum.
Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Welcome Viv.
I love my 97 spindrift white xk8 conv, too.
They do have some problems but I think they are still worth it.
I'm gettin' along just fine with mine, mainly programming.
JN is right, thereis alot of great advice to be had on the forum.
Don'tgive up....on anything.

Welcome to the xk circle Viv! hope we can help ya with your minor (postive thinking) problems. we've got some good techs that will only steer you to your dealer only if it is a very critical component or special-needs service item. Hope you can show some pics of the car if you have 'em. Or else i'll just close my eyes and imagine.....[sm=smiley12.gif]
Welcome Viv. I'm really sorry about your Breast Cancer and I hope that you can make it through like many other women nowadays are. Congrats on your Jag, and welcome to the prestigious club of Jaguar ownership. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
