Default Anxious new S-type owner

Hi all,

First, thanks for all the willing participation in this great forum. I've only been browsing for a few days and I've learned more than I ever knew about Jags. I'm about to take delivery of my first Jaguar, a 2005 4.2L S-type with titanium paint & black interior! It's nearing 100k miles, but it's appearantly in great shape and only cost me $7,500...not bad for a vehicle that retailed for over $50k six years ago Since I don't know much about the history of the car I'm going to go through every preventitive maintenance procedure I can now, and will probably purchase an extended warranty considering the cost of major repairs. I hope to lean on the knowledge of forum members early and often in getting this car ready to go another 100k!

Jason

Welcome to the forum Jason, don't be anxious we have some top folk who are only too willing to share their experience and knowledge.

Important to keep a sense of proportion and humour about you, and your Jaguar ownership should be a pleasure.

Welcome to the forum Jason!

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
