Default Back to the board again!

Well I never really left, but my previous Jag was recently involved in an accident (t -boned ughhh, RIP) but I am closing on another new to me car.. This time an XKR from Issaquah, Washington, that I am getting shipped to me here in Boston.

I loved my previous car, 2003 S-type R in Jag Racing Green, and it was a very sad day to here the totalled phone call, from the insurance agency.. But I am eager and excited to own an XKR, which has as been one of my dream cars!

Its a Black on Black on Black, --- Black paint, black interior and black wheels, looks like a pretty mean kitty!!

Anyways, just wanted to say hello again to the forum, and if anyone is in the area and has a club, or car meet up, id love to meet some new people!

Thanks,
Jon

Ohhh and once I figure out the best way to post pics I will, Not sure if the previous owner was on this forum as well.. but it would be interesting to talk with him!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome again! Yes it was very sad to see it go..

The new car is gorgeous, and was a very tough find, not too many 2003+ xkr coupes out there for sale at all! If it were my first choice, I would have preferred the jaguar racing green color, as it is breathtaking in the sun, but unfortunately I didnt have a long period of time to go searching. The triple black is a striking and menacing combo for the xkr, so I am very pleased with it as well, although with the boys in blue here in MA pretty strict about the window tinting, I have a feeling thats going to be coming off, 35% is the limit.

While many may cringe about the blacked out wheels, I like it especially given the sportiness of the car, and the fact the utilized the factory rims, and did it right with powder-coating instead of painting. Also it really helps to accentuate those big red brembos

Besides a slightly more aggressive exhaust note, the only thing I have planned for the car is a black Alcantara headliner and pillar wrap, that I am going to do myself.. Seems odd that the rest the of interior is black from the factory that they didnt use a black headliner but thats just me (maybe to give it a more airy feeling?)

And unfortuantely the tbone was around 12 oclock on a sunny day, so light certainly didnt play a role in it, or the fact I was only going 20mph on the side street.. Now if only everyone had the common sense to look both directions at a stop sign... sighhhh... I wish all people drove jaguars and appreciated and respected driving... wait a minute I take the first part that back haha
