Which to buy?

I've located two cars I'm interested in. A 2003 XJ-8 with 48,000 miles and a 2001 XJR with 45,000 miles. Both are about $19K and both in very good condition.
Any opinions? Any truth to rumor that tensioners last longer on XJR?

I would go for the XJR considering I like X308s over X350s and talk about a great performance machine

They are the same tensioners, so that doesn't really hold water.
