Glad to have access to this invaluable resource
I have often read threads about maintenance and simple fixes for my 2003 S-Type 4.2 Bought new, she's getting old but I still love her and she runs terrifically. Only 71k on her and have not had to do any major repairs except to replace the electronic parking brake.

I've moved your Intro post to it's own thread.
Don't just read - jump into the S-Type section and to add your knowledge or ask questions.
No need to tell you where to find info on the S-Type. Good to hear yours is running well.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Thanks, all, for the warm welcome messages. I just edited my signature and uploaded a pic of my Jag.
When I was shopping to replace my 2000 S-Type 4.0 (teen hit me and it was totaled), found her and had the dealer replace the grill and paint the bumpers to give her the "R" look.
Love black but it's so hard to maintain. Thinking about having her painted a dark charcoal metallic next year.

Sig and pic look great.
Know what you mean about black - great if you have someone to keep it clean for you! I had a black XJ8L for a year but the current XK8 is a lot easier to keep clean.
